Live in wormhole space and terrified of null sec?
That is lol-worthy =)
Actually the biggest mistake in EVE all new players do is thinking us 0.0 dwellers are unescapable hairy monsters. Hairy monsters might be true - unescapable? Not so much, if you are in a 0.0 corporation.

Ah, the old 'go-out-with-a-bang' trick. I actually have a bad reputation WITHIN my corp for being a bit of a firestarter. I tend to shoot first, then die, leaving my corp-mates to clean up the now very angry fleet bearing down on them.

Wormholes were introduced in Apocrypha, which was 'March 10th, 2009', according to their press release. I'd say you just missed it.

As for your begging for 30k ISK, yes I can believe it. 30,000.00 credits is a pittance for most people past the first few months of the game. I've got 80 million at the moment in my wallet, and that's not spare cash ;-;. I'm actually short on money.

If you ever sign back up, drop me a line on Kyreea in-game. Or my Steam account, of course.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting your review on poketch.net. It was quite fun to read.

I played EVE Online for three months last year January using a character named Alexia Reilly. I got bored of it and stopped playing for the reason that I knew it would be an extremely long haul before I saw the sort of results I wanted. Eve Online's version of 'levelling up' is train, train, train skills for at least 10 months before you can have any decent skirmish. It was a nice three months, however, and I did recognise some magnificent potential in the game. As well as this, I also recognised that this game would not be too good for me due to this exact reason: it's too big and requires too much time and immersion - it really would take over my life. I found it quite unhealthy.

Then again, for those that play EVE and are making the most out of it for the right reasons, I'm sure it's excusable ;)

I must tell you that before I quit playing for good, I wanted to do something funny that would leave a mark. I tried to give my character a bad reputation in as many systems as possible as an ISK beggar. Would you believe I actually made more than 30K from this alone?! Finally, with great effort, I also managed to get into a decent corporation who were at war with another one. I raided one of their lockers at a station, transferring thousands of ISK worth of weapons and upgrades to my own items and then gave them away to the opposing corporation. The icing on the cake was to transfer the login details for my corp's teamspeak to the opposing corp. I think they found my quite cruel, but hey - how else could a newbie leave a mark on the EVE universe?

One question I have for you: you said that it's your job to guard a wormhole. I know I didn't have anywhere near an in depth knowledge of the EVE universe during my playing time, but I never heard of any wormholes being present. Was this phenomena added at a later date?

Thanks! Enjoy your playing :)

@Fodor - The A4 chip is pretty weak, at only 1GHz. And Apple's method of fixing defects in a product tends to be releasing a new version, which is kinda the whole point.

Steve Job's new iPad will eventually blow up after the over-hype time during it's launch. The A4 chip and Apple's potential to fix defections will start to make the product a success in the futuire.
